Ricardo Lamas recently spoke with MMAjunkie about his recovery from injury following a win at UFC on F/X 4 and more. Check out the highlights…
On not pulling out from UFC on F/X 4 despite the injury: "I was going to stick this out no matter what. It was too good an opportunity for me. I just figured I would go out there and either come out with my shield or come out on my shield."
On where he'd like to fight next: "I'd love to go to Brazil and fight there. When it comes to MMA, the fans in Brazil are probably the best fans out there…I'm going to heal up a bit, and it might take a couple of weeks. But I'll be ready as soon as they call me."
On the fight: "I was kind of mad at myself that I wasn't able to finish the fight. I think if I was 100 percent I would have been able to pull off the finish. It's really up to the UFC what's next for me. I definitely want to get that recognition and hopefully win on a main card or pay-per-view card against another top-five guy, and do it all over again. I think if I keep going the way I'm going, the recognition is going to come."
