Dana White Talks Conor McGregor & more!
Dana White recently spoke to about the contenders in the UFC Featherweight Division. Here is what he had to say… “Especially with all the excitement in that division with Conor McGregor, Cub Swanson and Frankie Edgar – that division is so exciting that people are talking about freaking Nik Lentz and Dennis Bermudez. I told Cub and Frankie, ‘Don’t worry about anything you hear with all the Conor McGregor talk and all the other stuff. You worry about Cub Swanson and you worry about Frankie Edgar.’ Believe me, the fact that people are arguing over who should get a title shot in the 145-pound division isn’t a bad thing. It’s a good thing.”

Dana White recently spoke about the possibility of Conor McGregor fighting in Dublin at the 80,000 capacity Croke Park. Check out the highlights:

On McGregor fighting in Ireland if he wins: “If he beats Jose Aldo in Las Vegas in December, the next fight will be in Croke Park,” White told the NRL Footy Show in Australia. “We told him he could defend his title at Croke Park.”

On the obstacles of a fight in Ireland: “They have a curfew at night where you can’t get permits to stay out that late and do an event there…You lose about 25 to 30 percent on pay-per-view being in another country. The amount of money for production for Croke Park, being outside – I can guarantee you it’s going to rain. I’m not a meteorologist, but I’ll bet you it’s going to rain.”

On McGregor’s popularity: “Ronda (Rousey) is definitely the biggest star that we have in the UFC, but Conor is nipping at her heels, that’s for sure, especially in Australia. His last fight in Las Vegas, eight percent of ticket sales went to Australia. That’s a massive number. So it’s crazy.”
